MEN
The world sees one fight, one battle, one heroic act. A hero prevails, an enemy falls, and we celebrate for all of eternity. What’s not shown are the thousands of hours that go into one moment. The commitment to excellence, the willingness to put it all on the line.
Remaining true to yourself at all costs.
Achilles is calling. Pick it up, don it over your shoulders, tighten it down. As long as you have breath in your lungs and blood in your heart, keep moving.
We build the tools, you master them — one step, one rep at a time.
Achilles has you covered.
WHY ACHILLESThe world is full of cut-rate, toxic-smelling women’s weight vests marketed to everyone — bad for women, worse for men. The Achilles is built to a completely different standard. We forge this Men’s Weighted Vest from premium materials that are 100% clean, non-toxic, and built to handle a lifetime of sweat and abuse without breaking down. No toxic shortcuts, no chemical burns—just pure, rugged performance.
IMPERISHABLE GLORY: Like every piece of GORUCK gear, the Achilles is backed by our Scars Lifetime Guarantee.
The Indestructible Challenge Windbreaker thrives during your adventures through hell on a windy day (or a GORUCK Challenge), which end up at your favorite watering hole, none the worse for the wear. Complete with a streamlined hood (no dangling strings), off-shoulder seams, and a zippered chest pocket. Built out of the same tough as nails fabric as our Challenge Pants that has been tested and proven at the world's toughest endurance event.
The Rucking Shirt is the first piece of apparel we built from the ground up, in the USA, and have been building since 2016. The legacy of performance here — is strong.
Built for rucking and training, and classy so you can wear it all day, anywhere. That's the kind of versatility we believe in.
EnduraKnit fabric is an indestructible and lightweight performance fabric. It stretches with you, moves with you, and holds its shape over time. It's comfortable against the skin and breathable enough for movement, and durable enough to withstand long-term wear under load without breaking down or pilling. VERSATILE.
Built in the USA to last forever.
We took the best of workwear blue jeans - the toughness, the simplicity - and chose a tough as nails fabric that's trusted by the rock climbing industry and further proven at thousands of GORUCK Events. They're the absolute best pants for traveling, commuting, rucking, and training.
"They're built for all-terrain, and I use mine on asphalt every day. I murder running shoes in no time, but I can put over 1,000 miles (with 45# minimum) and 2-3 workouts/week on my Mackalls before it’s time for a new pair." — Jason, GORUCK Cofounder (former Green Beret)
Rucking is the foundation of Special Forces training and the Mackall™ is an off-road rucking machine. Maximum versatility and maximum support in a low top trail shoe named in honor of Camp Mackall, the home of Special Forces training.
FeaturesAGGRESSIVE TRIPLE COMPOUND OUTSOLE
Each section of the triple compound rubber outsole is designed to perform a specific function the best it possibly can. The forefoot rubber is formulated for increased grip with deep tread specifically shaped to grab the ground while shedding mud and debris. It wraps around the toes for additional protection against rocky terrain or when doing push-ups. The midfoot is formulated from a rock climbing compound and hardened for exceptional abrasion resistance — ideal for fast roping. The heel is more dense and formulated for extreme durability with an expanded heel strike area that won't break down over time or distance.
RUGGED MIDSOLE
The midsole design wraps around the entire upper providing significantly more stability and maximum support. Support you need for your feet so they’re not smoked after being on your feet all day, whatever you’re doing. Support is foundational to Mackall™ and makes them versatile — great for combat, traveling, and for people who demand a lot of their feet.
LIGHTWEIGHT KNIT + REINFORCED TPU UPPER
100% polyester knit constructed with the strength and durability to thrive in unforgiving environments. At 230 g/sqm, it's lightweight and fast drying. High-wear areas are reinforced with a protective TPU film. We targeted the toe area for abrasion resistance and the midfoot to heel area for additional lockdown support.
PROTECTIVE TOE CAP
No stubbed toes from craggy rocks or rogue sticks on the trail. A dual layered toe cap provides extra protection and abrasion resistance across the toes. Reinforced bonding to the rubber outsole's toe bumper results in better long term durability after miles of abusive terrain.
IDEAL RUCKING OFFSET
The ideal heel-to-toe drop for rucking. 13mm offset reduces the strain on your achilles (and by proxy your ankle, knees, and hips) and helps to accommodate a natural gait in an unnatural world of asphalt and man-made surfaces.
WIDE TOE BOX
Generous forefoot area lets your toes breathe. Over time and distance during any activity including rucking or traveling, your feet will swell. This extra space reduces the friction that can occur if your feet rub against the insides of your boot.
NO SPACER MESH
Spacer mesh is soft, squishy, and feels comfortable to your hand when you touch it. But it’s a trap, literally. The first time spacer mesh looks at any kind of water, your boots get heavier and they stay that way. So we proudly do not use spacer mesh, end of story.
3D MOLDED HEEL LOCK
Comfortable PU foam bolsters lock in the heel to prevent slippage and excessive movement around the ankle. This allows you to secure your heel into the shoe without relying on lace-locking or lacing too tightly.
ANATOMICALLY MOLDED TPU HEEL COUNTER
Anchors your foot with a supportive, injection molded heel counter that stabilizes your heel when you're doing dynamic, load bearing exercises.
3MM SPEED LACES
3mm as opposed to standard 5mm, just like MACV-2™. Debris and mud doesn't collect on the 3mm laces like it does on the 5mm, the 3mm rinse off and dry faster, and they're faster to tie because there's less bulk.
REFLECTIVE PULL TAB
Highly reflective pull tab on the back heel keeps you visible on the road or trail. Stay safe out there when choosing the harder path.
LACE-LOCK EYELETS
Extra top eyelets can be used to create a tight heel lock — commonly called a runner's loop or lock lace — that prevents heel slippage and excessive movement around the ankle.
DUAL DENSITY INSERT
Our custom insert uses a dual layered compression foam system that supports your entire foot from heel to toe - including contoured arch support for all 3 of your arches- throughout the duration of your foot strike.
Thirty-nine days after 9/11, teams from the 5th Special Forces Group deployed to the mountainous region of Afghanistan, along the Hindu Kush. The weather was atrocious — sandstorms, black clouds of hail, snow and ice — changing with each mile they traveled, and elevation to elevation. Yet they persevered together, carrying the hopes of the American people, and were victorious.
“Strength and Honor” is the mantra of the 5th Special Forces Group. We honor their legacy.
Our new Task Force Dagger Polartec fleece jacket pays homage to the jackets that were worn by those Special Forces units 20 years ago, and even uses the same Polartec 300 weight fleece. In 1981, Polartec® changed the game for cold weather performance apparel with the invention of polar synthetic fleece. With greater resiliency, lightweight warmth and fast dry times, it remains the industry standard for performance outerwear and breathable fleece jackets.
In WWI, wool was so important to British soldiers on the front lines that knitting wool sweaters was seen as a patriotic duty. By WWII, wool’s reputation was further solidified. However, SAS members spent extended periods in the field, laden with rucksacks and additional equipment, constantly on the move.
After witnessing repeated failures with their traditional wool sweaters, the SAS sought a lighter alternative, reinforcing the shoulders and elbows for durability. This became the iconic British Commando Sweater, and the inspiration for what we call the “commando test” — to pass muster, Merino wool must be reinforced in high stress areas. If it’s not, it simply fails too fast like the traditional wool garments that the SAS rejected.
We build ALL GORUCK Merino Wool tops with reinforced paneling on the shoulders so your Merino shirt keeps its structure better over the long haul – representing the standard for performance in the Merino wool category and passing the Commando Test. This ensures that your Merino shirt maintains its shape over time, while still providing all the advantages of Merino, such as odor resistance and perfect temperature regulation, regardless of the adventure or mission at hand.
GORUCK’s American Training Shorts move with you and feel like performance shorts should. But just because they feel soft doesn’t mean they are soft. They adapt to our way of life - and they don’t tear, they don’t rip, and they don’t fail in some of the harshest training environments on the planet. So do your worst.
Built in Spokane, Washington, where we've been building our USA Apparel since 2014.
Tri-BlendX: Toughness and comfort don't have to be mutually exclusive. Our in-house blend includes an antimicrobial treatment, which means your shirt won't absorb whatever odors it may come up against. The result is a shirt that's tougher, lasts longer, and less likely to end up in a landfill somewhere.
PACK LESS, DO MORE
Our 89% Merino wool blend is antimicrobial, quick drying, and insulating, and 11% Nylon blend helps the Merino wool retain its shape and be more abrasion resistant. The natural antimicrobial property of Merino wool keeps odors at bay, so there's no need to bring extra layers when you're on the road for extended periods. When the weather isn't your friend, it'll dry fast and keep you warm. And when it gets really cold, our wool is light enough to layer underneath a jacket (where the anti-odor quality thrives).
Lift heavier. Sprint faster. Ruck harder. And look cool doing it. The new standard in functional fitness footwear with 3X Support™ and 3X Stability for all three (3) of your arches, making them the best workout shoes for men and women ever created.
The Ballistic Trainers HULK are built for the strongest athletes who need the strongest possible footwear for doing anything on their feet. These Ballistic Trainers were built using all of the same science and Specs + Materials that have been proven time and time again with our footwear because we know what works and what doesn’t.
For the HULK, we took the EVA midsole and formulated it specifically for those who need extra support under an insane amount of weight, increasing the stiffness by nearly 40%. This guarantees that all strongmen and strongwomen athletes have footwear they can rely on to be resilient and responsive while putting them in the best position for peak performance.
Backed by science and proven by the greatest athletes of all time, the Ballistic Trainers remain one of the most versatile training shoes on the planet. Now, we can support athletes of all sizes, weights, or tombstone being carried without compromising on the build or function of the shoe.
The MACV-1™ modernized the Vietnam-era jungle boot, and the MACV-2™ continues that legacy with an all-new outsole for unprecedented traction and even more support.
Suitable for the needs of Special Forces soldiers who spend a career on their feet, all over the world, with heavy rucks on their backs. And for all adventurers who are looking to support their feet on long trips, journeys, and in their daily active lives. MACV-2™ is ready when you are.

The relationship between the EVA midsole and the rubber outsole matters greatly to the performance of the boot - and the combined weight is a major factor in whether you want to wear them or not. At 18oz (36 oz/pair for 6"), MACV-2™ is still lighter than any footwear of its kind, even with the new aggressive outsole.
NO BREAK-IN TIME
They're ready when you are, right out of the box.

PROUDLY NOT WATERPROOF
If rain, sweat, streams, gets in a waterproof boot there is nowhere for it to go. Shielding drain holes are better than waterproof. They keep sand and debris out and repel moisture with every step. They expel water with old fashioned technology that just works - with every step, you push the water out the side of the boot.
PREMIUM UPPER Specs + Materials
Hard wearing full-grain Challenge Leather™ (Black) or suede (Coyote) that only gets better with time and use. Paired with 1000D CORDURA® and 2" nylon webbing for added ankle support - debris and rain stay out and your feet can still breathe.
ANKLE SUPPORT
Suitable for airborne operations and maintains stability and support on uneven ground. Here's how this works. The 2" webbing is sewn into the heel counter. When you lace your boots up with your ankle locked into the heel, the heel counter and the 2" webbing do not pull forward - this is by design. But as you tighten them down, this process locks your heel down and shifts the freedom of flex to the forefoot. Which is where it should be.
SUEDE + INJECTION MOLDED HEEL COUNTER
Premium suede wraps a supportive, injection molded plastic heel counter. This combo stabilizes your heel as the suede leather prevents the kind of friction that causes hotspots and blisters.
3MM SPEED LACES
Speed laces are 3mm as opposed to standard 5mm. Debris and mud doesn't collect on the 3mm laces like it does on the 5mm, the 3mm rinse off and dry faster, and they're faster to tie because there's less bulk.

Our custom insert uses a dual layered compression foam system that supports your entire foot from heel to toe - including contoured arch support for all 3 of your arches- throughout the duration of your foot strike.
In 1945, Camp Mackall, North Carolina was the forge for the Airborne paratroopers who helped secure Allied Victory in WWII. When two million people filled Times Square to celebrate the end of the war, America marked a triumph of unity, service, and purpose—a generation that returned home to build the country we love today.
We built the MACKALL 45 to honor that relentless American spirit.
We fused our elite Special Forces rucking chassis with a sharp, heritage suede upper for modern performance and old school looks. This means you can wear one pair of shoes for workouts, travel, and dinner. From a 12-mile overnight beatdown at RUCK OR DIE to stepping out in a suit on the streets of NYC, the Mackall 45 delivers zero-blister comfort, rugged durability, and uncompromising performance out of the box.
We built the Rough Runner® to be lightweight and good for high mileage, on a modern running platform. You’ll recognize this in a comfortable fit, but these are not just normal running shoes. In Special Forces, we would run our asses off on pavement and on tank trails and then get to the physical training — push, pull, carry, drag and roll around in dirt fields with weight and slick. Simply running in a straight line is not enough for our way of life and we needed more versatility to do all the things. This is the inspiration for the Rough Runner®.
